A new version of Turpentine Wine recorded in Chicago on July 1, 2010 with members of Ides of March (Vehicle) & Survivor (Eye of the Tiger) serving as my band. I would very much appreciate your comments and comparisons to the original version. FYI -- this is a rough studio mix. Thanks to Jim Covert for financing this project & to the guys in the studio for "pushing me" vocally.

San Francisco based Rykarda Parasol (\reh-kaer-dah\) plays "rock noir" that evokes moody atmospheres and gin-drenched romanticism. Describes the sound as underhanded and white-collar criminal, the music draws comparisons to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Nico and the Velvet Underground, Black Heart Procession, and Johnny Cash. These cinematic songs tell stories of bad deeds and betrayed loves with stark simplicity

It is a common conception that since alcohol is legal, it must be better for you than marijuana. While this video neither promotes or discourages that thought, it does show basic facts in a comparison style about both substances.

Before I get into the 1980s concerts, I would like to throw out a treat for everybody! My friends (thebiggestqueenfan, and tsskiller08) and myself decided to try out an idea--have a live debate via Skype! I recorded this debate using a very cheap built-in microphone (which explains the relatively bad sound quality--though it's still listenable), and used GarageBand as the recording source. We cover the entire Crazy Tour of Queen (well the recorded gigs), and we broke each song down and discussed them. This debate was entirely ad-libbed (you can hear mistakes/bloopers throughout--I'll make a partial list below), and based off our own knowledge. Some stuff you may agree with--some stuff you will disagree with. But you can all agree on one thing: This was a LONG debate (1 hour and 42 minutes)! ENJOY!!! Here's a partial list of bloopers: 1. I was swigging on Carlo Rossi (wine) and Mountain Dew throughout this whole debate--leading to me forgetting which gig I was talking about in some parts. Also I would forget which songs were on which concerts--so I would just improv through, or make TSS and Brian talk. 2. TSS forgets which Hot Space gig he was talking about (Cologne 1982 instead of Edinburgh 1982), leading to some rather comical moments of correction between him, Brian, and myself (keep in mind--I forgot too)! 3. Despite being solely about the Crazy Tour, TSS thought it would a good idea to add the Sheer Heart Attack Tour, Japan 1979 and the mid 80s tours to the debate! I ...
